SPECIAL UPDATE - MAC MONITOR
Yes! We service Macintosh
Monitors!
For many years Apple Macintosh computer have been in the forefront of high
quality graphic creation and presentations. This necessitated a better
quality monitor than was utilized in the DOS/Windows world. Terms such
as resolution were clearly defined and practiced. It was unheard of for
this company to advertise for example, a 14 inch monitor to reproduce resolutions
of 800x600 or 1024x768 as has been common practice with DOS/Windows. Macintosh's
level of professionalism would not accept such deceptive practices. As
a consequence however, it was necessary to replace the video interface
card in your computer when updating to a larger monitor. This has been
rectified recently and is much welcomed by all users.
A large number of video adapters were required to service this large
family of monitors and very few service organizations are properly equipped
to configure the monitors after repairs - leading to dissatisfied users.
Erv's Monitor Service has always configured and adjusted Mac monitors using
the original video adapters - and has a very high level of customer satisfaction
as a result.
The media and the promoters of competing computer platforms have capitalized
on the financial and market share woes of Apple Computer Corp. in the past,
and many service organizations refuse to invest in the necessary video
adapters as we have done. Business World survivors have one thing in common,
they all are leaders in what they do. This is the fact that will endear
the Macintosh system to future generations of computer users. The turnaround
is presently evident with the introduction of exciting new products that
will change the way we use our computers in the future.
Erv's Monitor Service is dedicated to provide the highest quality service
to all Mac users and to repair all of the monitors that they use. A large
number of our Mac customers are having their computers serviced here as
well. We have seen a dramatic increase in the numbers of Macintosh products
that have been sent to us for service.
Please contact us for your monitor and service needs. We sell reconditioned
monitors
and the associated adapters to help you at an economical cost. All new
monitors that we supply will work well on your computer.
TIP: Did you know that the internal cmos battery can cause your monitor
to appear defective? The cmos battery is a little 3.6 volt battery mounted
on the main logic board that powers the cmos memory chip when your computer
is turned off, thus preserving the computer settings. When this battery
weakens (2 years) you can have a sudden loss of function.
CAUTION: This battery is not intended
to be user replaceable and you are wise to have your MAC service center
replace it for you. We have installed hundreds for customers and have had
to replace logic boards where the customer / user has attempted a "do it
yourself" repair.
